Wycliffe celebrates as all Bible translations reach completion

International (MNN) -- Wycliffe Bible Translators is nearing the goal of translating the Bible into every language on earth. Wycliffe's Ruth Hubbard says they're pushing to get the last 2200 languages translated, with the final one started by 2025. "We're working to raise awareness and mobilize resources for Bible translation movements worldwide, believing that we can see the translation work of Scripture in those last languages in this generation." Completion of the project will take several willing missionaries, billions of dollars, and a great deal of prayer. Hubbard asks believers to praise God for His faithfulness and to pray for the necessary servants and funding. "In essence, we're asking God to act according to His character, to fulfill the promises He has made--to do what it is we believe He wants us to do. The second part of the prayer is that God would do the work in us organizationally and individually so that we'd be the men and women that He can use to do this work."
