PREGNANT CHRISTIAN WOMEN DRAGGED NAKED THROUGH PAKISTANI POLICE STATION

PUNJAB, PAKISTAN - International Christian Concern (ICC) has learned that a pregnant Christian woman miscarried on July 26 after police beat her and dragged her naked through their police station in the Gujrat District of Punjab, Pakistan. Police had arrested her and a Muslim woman after their employer accused them of theft, but police did not even touch the Muslim woman.
An ICC spokesperson said that the woman, Farzana Bibi, worked as a maid in the house of a wealthy Muslim. During a wedding held at the house, some jewelry was stolen from some of the landlord's female relatives. The police were called, and when they arrived at the scene they arrested two maids: Farzana and a Muslim woman named Rehana.
Nazir Masih, Farzana's husband, said, “Police registered a fake theft case against my wife and Rehana without any proof.”
Nazir went on to say that the police tortured his wife even though she told them she was pregnant. He told ICC, “Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar and Assistant Sub-Inspector Akhter subjected her to intense torture. They stripped off her clothes and dragged her naked around the compound of Cantonment Area Police Station in Kharian. They humiliated and tortured my wife, but did not do anything to Rehana.”
The ICC spokesperson said, “Although Farzana complained of severe pain, the police ignored her pleas and detained her for another two days. When her condition became critical, the police finally transferred her to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Kharian, where she miscarried.
“Nazir filed a report with the District Police Officer in Gujrat, detailing the abuse his wife received and her miscarriage. The District Office initiated an investigation after receiving the report, withdrawing the false accusations and suspending officers Zulfiqar and Akhter.
“The authorities have pledged to punish all those responsible. Please pray that God would comfort Farzana and Nazir and that justice would be carried out. Please also call your Pakistani embassy and ask them to defend the rights of Christians.”
Jeremy Sewall, ICC's Advocacy Director, said, “While we were not able to confirm whether Farzana was innocent of robbing her employers, it is absolutely unacceptable for police to humiliate her and abuse her so severely that she lost her child. The fact that the Muslim woman accused of the same thing was at least treated like a human being just proves again that if you are not a Muslim in Pakistan, you have no rights. The government should go beyond suspending the two officers guilty of this crime and try them for manslaughter.”

PAKISTANI CHRISTIAN GIRL RAPED AND MURDERED

A nine-year-old Christian girl in Pakistan was reportedly gang-raped before being killed and dumped in a canal. And outrage is growing amid reports that almost a month later no arrest has been made.

Nisha Javid was walking close to her home when she suddenly disappeared, prompting her parents to mount a search for her.
Barely two days later, with a police-led search underway, her body was found in a canal not far from the Javids’ home in Essangri village, outside the town of Jaranawala, Faisalabad.
A post mortem revealed Nisha had been gang-raped and had died after repeated blows to the head.
More than three weeks later, police have been accused of inaction and refusing to follow up allegedly compelling evidence identifying the guilty party.
Fr. Yaqub Masih, parish priest of Jaranwala, said, “People here are very sad – especially the family.”
He explained that Nisha’s mother is “ill with grief” and that her father is unable to work and is devoting every hour to win justice for his daughter’s death, working with police and lawyers.
Masih underlined the impact of the attacks on other Christians.
"If nothing is done about this, where can our children go to feel safe? Everyone feels very insecure and very afraid," he said.
The crime took place on April 9 – Maundy Thursday in Holy Week – and Christians believe the attack was intended as an insult to their faith.
"Our people are very poor and they have no status in society," said Masih. "What can they do to protect themselves?"
He reported that the police have been publicly accused of corruption and failing to intensify their inquiries.
"The police action has been very slow," he noted. "And that has made the people here feel even more powerless."
His comments come amid an upsurge of anti-Christian violence and intimidation in Pakistan.
Nisha’s death follows a narrowly-averted attack on Christians in Jaranawala, prompted by accusations that a man had allegedly damaged a banner containing words from the Koran, thereby breaking Pakistan’s controversial blasphemy laws.
Also this month in the southern city of Karachi, four people, including an 11-year-old boy, were injured in attacks on Christians that took place on April 22.

CHRISTIAN MILKMAN BRUTALLY MURDERED IN PAKISTAN BY THREE MUSLIM MEN

Imagine with me that you were doing a job you were hired for and when you were expected to get paid, that your employer told you to wait another month for your wages. Understandably, that would be upsetting. And I'm not sure exactly how these events took place, but it appears this happened to a Christian milkman in Pakistan.
It is being reported that the Christian man was desperate to support his family and needed the money. So he confronted his Muslim employers and they murdered him. Here's part of what is being reported:
Desperate to support his family, Ashraf returned on February 1 and demanded his wages. This enraged the three Muslim men, who said, "You are Esai [a derogatory term for Christians] and you demanded your pay from Muslims, what courage you have. We will finish you right now. Then go to your Esa [Christ], He will give you everything." After killing Ashraf, the three men fled.
We know that Ashraf (the Christian) had a family that he left behind. Please take a moment today to pray for his family and also those Muslims that murdered him.

TWO CHRISTIAN NURSING STUDENTS AND A CHRISTIAN HOSTEL WARDEN TERMINATED OVER BLASPHEMY ACCUSATION IN PAKISTAN;PRAY AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE...

Two female Christian nursing students and a Christian hostel warden have been terminated from college over a blasphemy accusation that was leveled against the students by their Muslim roommates on February 13.
Trouble for the Christian nursing students, Amara and Sitara, began when they hung a picture of Jesus Christ in a shared hostel room.
Islamic tradition explicitly prohibits images of Allah, Muhammad and all the major figures of the Christian and Jewish traditions.
Muslim students desecrated the picture by tearing it up and hurling it down after the Christian students refused to remove it voluntarily.
The administration of the nursing college allegedly took no action against the Muslim students, who committed the alleged incident.
Christian-Muslim tension among students at the nursing college escalated after Muslim students accused their Christian roommates, Amara and Sitara, of desecrating Quranic verses on February 13.
Their Muslim accusers and some staff of the hospital have threatened legal action against the Christian students.
Martha, the hostel warden, told the Sharing Life Ministry Pakistan that she had served Fatima Memorial Hospital for 15 years.
She said: “I would stay at the hostel even on my day-offs and give very little time to my family. “The nursing students and hospital administration gave me due respect before this incident,” the terminated Christian warden told SLMP.
ANS has learnt that the Muslim students allegedly turned against Martha when she asked them to restrain from blowing a trivial matter out of proportion.
The Medical Superintendent, Ayesha Nouman did not take any action against the Muslim students, who spoke harshly to Martha.
Instead of taking some disciplinary action against the Muslim students the medical superintendent terminated her.
Martha told SLMP: “I am ready to face any sort of persecution for Christ.
“This is just a termination. I don’t care about my career. I can sacrifice my life for Christ because He died for me.
“I am not afraid of persecution rather I feel honoured to be persecuted for Christ. I also encouraged Amara and Sitara to remain strong in Christ.”
Muslim students still want legal action be taken against the terminated Christian nursing students.
According to the SLMP situation at the nursing college remains tense and they received reports which said Muslim students allegedly thrashed Christian nursing students at the college.
The Ministry alleged that Pakistan TV Geo News and Channel 5 did partial reporting on the incident.
SLMP urged Christians across the world to pray for protection of Amara, Sitara and Sister Martha.
